In this competition, contestants will submit a white paper that answers the following prompt:
"With regard to which issue has the United States’ foreign policy approach diverged most from its own strategic interests?"
Largest international affairs policy paper competition run by and for students!
1st Place: $5000
2nd Place: $1000
3rd Place: $500
The top three teams will be awarded a trip to Washington D.C. to present in the live finals with prestigious judges in the field of international affairs!

FAQ
Who can enter?
Entrants can submit papers individually or in teams of up to 3. Finalists in this competition will also be awarded a trip to Washington, D.C. (if public health restrictions allow) to present in the Finals which will be held live with high-level judges from the field of International Affairs.
Anyone who is currently enrolled as an undergraduate student or high school student and has not received a bachelor's degree (or equivalent). Teams can be composed of students from different schools. We may make exceptions for certain other cases we deem suitable. Email us at policycomp@oneroinstitute.org with any questions.
Word Count?
Submitted papers must not exceed 5,000 words.
Registration & Deadlines?
Participants must have registered and submitted their papers before 11:59pm EST on January 24th, 2022. Participants are not required to submit their papers at the time of registration and are encouraged to register as early as possible to receive reminders of upcoming deadlines and any other relevant information.
If you are competing as a team, ideally all team members will be included at the time of registration. However, if you need to make any adjustments to your team, you can email a request to policycomp@oneroinstitute.org
